Are you an art lover? If so, you'll be pleased to know that in 2023 ARCO Madrid returns with a new theme. Under the concept of "Mediterranean: a round sea", the 42nd edition of Spain's most important art fair will focus on the art scene of the countries surrounding this sea.
Artists, galleries, collectors, curators, and theoreticians from the northern and southern coasts of the Mediterranean will meet in Madrid to share perspectives on this great shared marine space through artistic creation.
Don't miss any details of the ARCO fair, that you can visit as an exhibitor or public staying with Único Hotels at The Principal Madrid.
What is ARCO Madrid?
The ARCO Madrid exhibition is what is known as the International Contemporary Art Fair of Spain, one of the main platforms of the international art market. This annual event, usually held in February, brings together professionals from the contemporary art world to exhibit their projects, galleries and works of art. ARCO Madrid is one of the most important events of the year for artists and galleries of all origins, being the ideal space for the creation of synergies, the promotion of art, and stimulating art collecting and patronage.
The highlight of the fair is the exhibition area, which is open for the public to admire the art or buy some of the pieces. In addition to the works within the program dedicated to the Mediterranean, ARCO Madrid 2023 will maintain its usual general program with an exhibition of galleries specially selected by the organizing committee.
ARCO Madrid dates
The 41st edition of ARCO Madrid will take place from 22 to 26 February 2023 with all the latest national and international contemporary art. The professional visit is until Friday 24th, while the remaining days until Sunday 26th are for the attendance of the public in general.
The deadline for participating in the fair recently opened and finished on 26 September, so now is the time for galleries to send in their applications. However, the sale of tickets for ARCO Madrid as public is still not available.
