The quintessential Madrid café, Café Comercial is old-school, 130 years to be exact, the kind of place Hemmingway would hang out if he were still around today.
Both noisy corner bar and urbane gastronomic restaurant, each with its own menu. From chocolate and churros first thing in the morning to a cocktail last thing at night Café Comercial is the equivalent of the French bistro, an all-day witness to the comings and goings of a mixture of locals and tourists, compete with outdoor pavement terrace.
